You can now send items and resources directly from your inventory to other farmers in your game. It's a lot more convenient and a lot more fun to do so!
First of all, you need to install the latest version of SMAPI. The installation is a pretty simple process, so if you don't know how to install it, then just follow the instructions in the readme file.
Once you have SMAPI installed, you can start sending items and resources to other farmers by right-clicking on the letterbox outside your house. You will see a little popup, which will ask you for a recipient.

Once you have selected a recipient, you will be able to put an item or resource into the letterbox.
